In this Pride and Prejudice, with the militia and therefore Wickham staying the summer in Meryton, it is decided that Kitty and Lydia should be kept out of his way and so sent on holiday with the Gardiners. It is them that met Darcy at Pemberley, and Jane and Lizzy stay at Longbourn.
