Elizabeth is staying with the Gardiners in London where she meets Wickham and spends time getting to know him. Plus she also meets Miss Darcy. A Miss Darcy who did not meet Wickham in Ramsgate. Of course, Wickham and Miss Darcy meet often in London, as Darcy is staying with friends in Bristol.
An interesting variation.
