Miss Emma Hastings has been sent to London to learn about her Uncle Simon's business. Her troubles start when her uncle fails to meet her. So her adventures begin, and thankfully she meets and is helped by Adam Birmingham. I didn't take to Emma initially as she is driven to some hysteria, and also continually speaking in hyperbole. But she grew on me.
An entertaining, easily read, romance and mystery with some very likeable characters.
